Question about shedding and losing strands of hair

I am between a NW2 and a NW3 I think, roughly. I have however, never experienced hair falling out, such as in the shower. The most hair that has come out has been the odd hair when styling my hair - but nothing more than normal. Why do I hear stories from most people that they have a large quantity of hair fall out into their hands after a hairwash. I have just started minoxidil so maybe I will experience this soon (but I meant people experiencing it before trying any products).

What age are you? You might just be losing it slower.

More aggressive sufferers will lose more hair, seems like common sense to me.
