Question for people who are on Finasteride.

Hi, I heared that even when you are on finasteride for more than one year you still lose hairs (20 hair per day or less), if so then how Finasteride can maintain your hair if you every day still losing hair?!

It's different for everyone, some people regrow hair, some maintain, some lose but slower and some don't respond at all.

Shedding hair is normal even for those who are not balding and it makes no difference if you're taking finasteride or not. 10% of hair is in the telogen phase at any given time and will fall within 90 days. For those with male pattern baldness the shed hair may come back thinner/weaker or not at all. Taking finasteride will ensure (in most cases) that the shed hair comes back in healthy and may allow weaker hairs already affected by DHT to come back in stronger.

I do not think that there are some people who take finasteride do not lose hair every day, everyone lose hair every day even women.

I think I misunderstood your question, my bad.

In terms of shedding, *everyone* sheds hair, I shed far more hair now than I was when I was balding, as I now have much more visible hair to shed. My hair is now also much longer which makes it look like the shedding is even worse.

Every morning and evening when I brush my hair, the hairbrush ends up looking like a small rodent with a wooden tail...

Please you all note that from the famous study that done there are 98% (48% of them regrowed new hair and 50% of them maintained their hair) of who used finasteride maintained their hair, so does that mean that 98% who use Finasteride will regrow the *daily* fallen hair?

Generally, if you are losing more than 100 hairs a day, you are losing ground, under that, you are fine, the average person loses up to 100 hairs a day
