Question On Minoxidil Please ........

will minoxidil effect all my hair i mean will it cause the healthy hairs to shed cause i want to start but i'm so afraid of shedding cause i'm diffused and my all head will show if i shedded much hair sorry about my english it's not my language ..

In my shortish experience with minoxidil (6 months) I've never encountered the "dreaded shed phase".. If there happened to be a little shed at the beginning I'm not sure because I wasn't obsessing over it and looking in the mirror every five minutes expecting results. Just use it and try not to think about it.

I was afraid of shedding

I shed a bit in first few weeks--mostly long thick hairs..but i also regrew at same time as shedding--only i could see the regrowth in magnifying mirror...Im using for 6 weeks now..My shedding has decreased a bit..and i have some modest new growth already.

I was a good responder i think...I will know more in 4 months.

Unfortuntly . iam from egypt
There is no minoxidil foam here .
Only liquid
Rogain foam is here about 600 egyptian pound !!!!
While the local minoxidil liquid is only 52 LE

I was using it for 6 months . then I quit
Thinking of REstarting again

For me it caused my shedding to nearly triple. And it was bad before. But I noticed that nearly all the hairs were thin and light. And after about 7 weeks I saw new thick hairs coming through on my hairline. So shedding is a good thing when starting minoxidil in my opinion. It shouldn't shed healthy hairs.

Shedding is a one time thing. It should only happen once.

But you should still use Finasteride, or some anti DHT medication with it.
