This is my first post, but I've been lurking for quite a while, so firstly just saying that this forum has been a wealth of support (and anxiety) for me!
I'm about to start on 0.25mg propecia ED, and was just trying to work out whether the link between high DHT and increased acne and body hair will be able to elucidate side effects at all.
Looking at my family tree, I shouldn't have male pattern baldness, especially not at this age. The men in my family all have good heads of hair, but they also barely have any chest hair, and my dad didn't suffer from acne at all. I, on the other hand, have started balding at 18/19, have had persistent acne (which I've managed to clear up with drugs but comes back as soon I stop taking them), and quite dark, noticeable body hair. So do I just have very elevated levels of DHT, which is the cause of my male pattern baldness, acne, and body hair? With this in mind, would taking propecia to lower it to a normal level feasibly result in side effects?
