Questions about Rassmans biopsy for FUE

Dr. Rassman did a biopsy to determine candidacy for FUE. He believes he has found the signature (collagen type) that indicates why some guys do well with FUE and others should go with STRIP. Mine didn't go well and I came out as not a good FUE candidate.

Its been a couple of weeks and the site is still sore so I cant even image what 2000 more of these would feel and heal like (or maybe that's why I would be a bad FUE candidate)

Has anyone else had any experience with this unique procedure?

Does anyone believe that it truly does or does-not rule out FUE?

(was leaning towards Dr. Umars FUE but now dont want to push the envelope based on Rassmans findings on my candidacy)

I will check into H&W and Feller, but don't want to rule out Umar if I dont have to.

Rassman has been negative on FUE for a long time, I would not make a decision based on his his opinion. You should consult with three FUE doctors and mention what Rassman said and see what they say. You might consider a small FUE session to evaluate the type of result a big session would give you.

well if you heal badly from a biopcy where they remove a smal peace of flesh, and that is hurting like hell... how will you feel when they peel of a freaking huge strip back there :woot:

Cant compare healing from biopcy with fue

That's a great point, if you're going to heal poorly because of collagen, then it would follow that you'd have poor healing and a bad scar from a strip transplant. What does Dr. Rassman say to that?

I dont know that the biopsy took any longer to heal that normal. It just surprised "me" beacase I knew it was such a small subset of what hair transplant would be i figured it shuld be like a misqito bite.

wonder if getting say 500 FUE as a sort of test would wreck my doner area for future strip? (to see how many would "take" and see what the shock loss is)

Then decise on FUE vs STRIP vs NOTHING (perhaps becase my skin responded so porrly during the 500 test hair transplant)

Anyone ever dip thier toes in the water like this? or once the decsion is made is it base to do THE MOST MEGA number in the first operation?
