Hello everyone! This is my first post but I admit I am a long time lurker. I am 21 and was one of those kids with thick hair and a Norwood -2 hairline, the kind that almost touches your eyebrows. But the past few years I have been losing tremendous amounts, I have half the density of last year, which was already half the density of the prior year, so its going fast. General thinning and receding, so without boring you more, I got on .5mg of propecia and I have been on it for a month now. I definitely notice increased shedding but it doesn't bother me too much, I comfort myself by saying its gonna come back in a year. Any way, my question is; I still have a full head of hair and I'm not bald yet and no one can tell I'm balding (when I do my pseudo comb-over), so that being said, I'm not looking to jump into a big 3 kind of thing, but do you experts think i should add in Nizoral? I don't have any dandruff or itching or any of the sort. Should I take the Propecia for like a year and then throw in nizoral? what do you guys think?

Nizoral isn't as "hard core" of a treatment as minoxidil or finasteride, you don't apply it twice a day or risk side effects, it's just a second shampooing in the shower 2-3 times per week, maybe leave it in for a few minutes while you shave or brush your teeth or whatever. It definetly helps make your existing hairs healther (darker, thicker) so it likely helps any hairs you're regrowing through other means. That, and it keeps dandruff at bay if you're prone to that.

I don't see why more people aren't using it.
