Hi Guys, I am new here, hope i'm welcomed... Well, after reading all I could and actually doing some research myself, I still have a question... Can anyone help me pls? One of the treatment for hair loss is obviously DHT inhibitor (one of which is 5-alpha reductase inhibitor). But as we know, DHT is important for the functions of prostate gland, external genitalia, etc. So my question is: Then will one actually get sexually dysfunction (impotent) after taking (any) DHT inhibitors? and Why? Please answer my question or share your own experiences if you don't mind. Thanks a million!!

Some of the side effects of finasteride are: 1) diminished libido, 2) erectile dysfunction, and 3) ejaculation disorder. These side effects occurred in about 2% of men in clinical trials. 58% of men who got side effects and continued with Propecia saw resolution of their side effects. All men who stopped Propecia due to side effects eventually saw resolution of their side effects.
My opinion is that if you use a drug like this and notice severe side effects, stop immediately. I didn't, and now I'm paying severely.

I've been off finasteride for almost 11 months now.
My estrogen levels are sky high - I'm at 183 pg/mL, normal is under 130 pg/mL, but most guys are pretty far below 130. Testosterone and DHT are low normal. I started Arimidex today. I'm hoping that will get my system back in gear. The last year of my life has been sh*t due to all of this.
It's partly my fault. I should've quit Propecia a lot sooner than I did. I wouldn't recommend anyone keep taking it if they are having pretty bad side effects. If you're gonna use this stuff, you gotta be careful. Playing around with your hormones is nothing to take lightly.

As you know my total estrogens came out as 212. However, I would recommend going to an endocrinologist and getting a thorough test for estradiol and DHT. Estradiol is the active form of estrogen and what you should be concerned about. Likewise for DHT ('cept it is the most active form of testosterone).
The total estrogen assay is considered inaccurate by many doctors. I am going to get a more complete study done as soon as possible from a specialist at Yale Med.

I would but at this time i dont have health insurance, I had a blood test done on the last day i lost my job. It probably wont be a while "5 months" till i get insurance again. I am not going to wait that long, even if estradiol is the way to measure I am sure there is a reason mine came back at 267. My doctor basically said i had one of the highest estrogen lvls he has seen in a man and most are below 130. I will have my Arimidex prolly within a week. I will keep everyone posted on how that works out.

My libibo is not what it should be, thete has been many times when i have not been turned on that much when i have a naked broad on me.. I usually can make do but its not always that good...
