Quick minoxidil question

What's the effect minoxidil has on really short hair?
I got sick of wondering where I stood with the thinning of my crown so I shaved my head down to 5mm.
Does it work the same? Just curious because of course coverage will be different since it has nothing to attach itself to.

minoxidil is even more effective with short hair since it is much easier to apply and less is being lost in your hairs.

I'm using the old style dropper and I find it's much better for longer hair - you can arrange a parting and then apply the minoxidil to the line. Put the applicator right down onto the scalp and press the bulb. I got my dropper from a bottle of Saw Palmetto tincture I used for a while - just wash it out thoroughly.

I'm still astonished that this stuff works, it's slow and it's messy but if you stick with it you can actually get results.

I was actually considering keeping my hair really short like this until I can insure that it's actually woking. Good idea?
I don't like it short like this but I need to learn patience with this whole problem, so I think this would be a good way!

It's your decision, whatever you think works best for you. I shaved my head down to zero to begin my topical regimen, but I don't think it's entirely neccessary if you have the right applicator.

All in all it just prepars me for the worst :lol:
I was expecting much worse, but I think I look ok.
It baffles me as to the way my hairline is. Now that it's shaved the temples look ok. I thought I was thinning in the front but it's uniform across the top of my whole head.
If this were the first time I'd shaved it I'd think "Holy sh*t I'm going bald"
but it hasn't changed at all since I shaved it last like 5 years ago, except a little thinning on the right side.

My head is proof that the Norwood theory doesn't work for everyone. I was pretty much NW2 when I was born and it hasn't changed. I just have retarded hairline.

Short hair is not a problem, it just makes it easier to apply the minoxidil. Take pictures right now to chart your progress!

Should I notice results quicker with the short hair?
