I'm a 29 year old male and was on propecia for the past year and a half. I gained some weight from not really exercising much during the time and only recently started hitting the gym pretty hard. Long story short - no luck getting back down a normal weight. I've been reading a lot on here that some people experience weight gain and I feel pretty confident right now that something is amiss.
So, I stopped taking Propecia 1mg three weeks ago and still haven't noticed any changes in my metabolism.
For reference, I am eating ~1500 calories a day, lifting upper and lower body on every other day, and doing about 45 minutes of cardio on average every day. This usually has helped me drop 2-3 lbs of fat a week consistently.
Finally, no other big sides except for some oily skin here and there.
Anyone else had some slowed metabolism that seemed to spring back after a month or so of discontinuation? Obviously, I'm a little bit concerned about not being able to drop the extra weight given my caloric intake and exercise load described above.
