Quitting 15% minoxidil

I really want to give up 15% xandrox mainly due to the cost of the stuff, but also its like putting syrup on your bonse. Also I'm not convinced that the stuff is anymore effective than the normal stuff. I'm so worried though that my scalp is now dependant on that strength minoxidil and if I reduce it to 5% then I would loose a lot of the gains I have been making. I have only been applying the stuff once every other day.

Has anyone here ever done this and if so what effect did it have. I really want to start using the 5% Rogaine foam.

damn, how bad were we talking here. Do you think it might have just been an initial shed due to the switch or do u think those hairs were dependant on that strength minoxidil. Maybe I should email Dr Lee and see what the official verdict is on this. Do you feel the 15% gave you good results then.

If you've had success with it...you always run the risk of losing everything you've gained with it. I guess it comes down to how much you value the gains you have and the time it took to achieve them.

please note that I might have lost my frontal hairs due to shockloss from my hair transplant.
I stopped xandrox 15 only because my hair transplant doctor said it is too strong for the hair transplant hairs.
I stopped it for 6-7 months. I shed those hairs while I was on the foam and never got them back.

update
after restarting xandrox 15, I have gotten some of my frontal hairs in 2 weeks of xandrox 15.
Even my wife noted that.
