Fellaz,

I've been on Finpecia 0.25mg for 3 days only and I've experienced Gyno sides beginning the second day. The Gyno sides have been existent mainly on my left nipple. it feels as if i have hot flushes under my left nipple. The nipple seems puffy around the nipple. Im planning on stopping treatment for the next couple of days and watching if sides reduce. That way i can be sure that my gyno flare is caused by finastride. Could it be that my body is re-adjusting to the drug and i am being paranoid. If i continue will the sides disappear as the finpecia is more thouroghly accepted.....

Doubtful, if you are having problems this early it probably means your body is very sensitive to changes in the androgen/estrogen ratio, which Finasteride definitely affects (increasing Estrogens). I don't see why trying it at a later date would make any difference, or if continuing on would improve this... but your call.

Technically you could try Anti-Es like Arimidex or SERMS like Tamoxifen, but really... messing with hormones like this isn't really a good idea. Introducing more drugs into the equation and interfering with normal HTPA function is just asking for trouble, in my opinion, and we certainly are not doctors nor are we qualified enough to understand how all of this may screw things up if things do go wrong.

Finally, if you are this concerned to quit after only 3 days on Finasteride, I don't see how you will be any less likely to quit again if anything "negative" happens... as it appears you are on the extreme lookout for any little change in your body... thus if you aren't willing to put up with "side effects", I doubt it will matter in the end anyway.

Personally I'd never touch Finasteride again, knowing what I know now, but it's your health. Good luck to you.
