Quitting minoxidil for 7 days

I'm having surgery on Friday, and decided since I'll have a splint on my nose and a scar on my chin and will be on a lot of pain killers for a couple days, it'd be best to stop minoxidil/propecia for 7 days. Do you think this can cause me to lose any thin hairs minoxidil is sustaining? I'm not sure when the reapid shedding occurs when you quit minoxidil.

Why would you stop your treatment because of this? Have you asked your doctor?

minoxidil really makes my facial hairs grow faster, and considering i'm getting a small chin implant (i figure if i'm losing my hair, i might as well get the best damn facial features i can) i'd rather not shave over the scar until the stitches come out.

But why stop the finasteride?

stop applying it to your face..
or simply, just dont shave for a week, aint gonna kill ya...
you may get accustomed to no minoxidil appl. and just say 'the hell with it' .. I did it once...bad mistake..bad bad

I dont think stopping minoxidil for 7 days will kill ya. But why stop the finasteride?
