Hi All. I use spironolactone s5 cream for diffuse thinning.

I had no noticeable hair loss (and I'm paranoid about such things) until I was 26, and I very briefly took Adderall XR. Then extremely quickly I shed and never grew hairs back. Fast forward months later, I was on S5 cream and eventually stable doses of a different but similar drug to Addy.

-1. My question is:*** Can I go on finasteride and use it 18-24 months - gain DENSITY, then quit it and solidify gains with spironolactone***?
-2. Can I use 0.5mg?
-3. Can I just wait for Histogen, Replicel, etc and not lose ground?
I think most shedding has stopped. IF awake two to four days and on ADHD meds, it sheds more, but one fourth as much as it did in Sept - Nov or so, in 2013. That was waking up with Hair all over my bed for a one or two days at least - and constantly checking. Quit meds, got on s5 cream, eventually got on "safer" ADHD meds (they are safer for me at least).

-Adderall has norepinephrine effects and dopamine agonistic effects, whereas what I take now is mostly dopamine. NE is related to stress responses, cortisol, and maybe testosterone, but I digress.

-Hoodie with blurry background was 6.2013 - 3 months pre Adderall. No hair loss known to me.
-White t shirt, green t shirt --> 2014.
-Bandaid photos (last 2 weeks), bathroom photos, wet are today / last couple days.
-****I have videos where I filmed while my hair was wet --- from today, Cannot upload them -- where should I?

Background:
-Dad's brother died full head of hair 63 or so, Brother maybe NW2 or 3 or so but lots lost early 30's began 22-24 ish...
(maybe his pattern is different like mine is... but I seem to have no recession --- altho front is thinner -- only very front above nose)
-Dad near bald Norwood 6 - 7, maybe lost most in 20's. No treatments back then.
-Dad's father died 40 ish perfect hair (from portraits).
-Dad's cousins - seem to all have their hair (I only met a few - not recently).
-Mom's cousins --- male ones many had loss. (she had like 20-30 cousins).
-2 first cousins, that are also second cousins (their mother is dad's sister, their father is my mom's cousin) - perfect hair 30 and 23.
-Mom's brother - perfect hair or was when he was 55 or so. Now a bit older, I'm sure still quite good.
-HIS son, bald completely at 18 very sadly. He's going to be succeed anyways (M.D.).

-The video could show better if I have a recession or not --- and the massive volume lost.

TL; DR

-***COULD a diffuse thinner like me expect to see pretty good results on finasteride at say 0.5mg a day***. Could I plan to only take it 2 years or so, then maintain MOST of that gain with spironolactone cream. I know some used 7-14 yrs or so, then got off due to side fx, then maintained MOST of regrowth on S5 cream.

Maybe S5 stopped shedding, maybe Telogen effluvium ended (but no regrowth --- due to Sensitivity to DHT).
T.E. could be reasonable as I had just been on my way to recovering from years and years of ruination elsewhere in life, and had finally figured out the cause of so many issues --- not treating the right problem (the ADHD). -That isn't the main point though of this thread.

It isn't one to one, this parent = this loss in a person... but yes genetics play a role. I figure yes I had BAD loss, but some never respond to S5 at all or even finasteride, so good progress there -- if it is in fact all genetic loss. Unless randomly every 8-10 years, I'll just lose a lot of hair. Any input is much appreciated. Thx.
