Really bad dandruff and hair loss at 17

so basically, i have really bad dandruff (like abnormally bad) literally chunks. i itch my head so much that my scalp literally bleeds everyday. i went to the doctors and they gave me something to apply on my head for it but my mom said it’s just gonna thin out my hair more so i’m using natural remedies but it’s not rly working lmao. idk what to do and i’m stressing sm about it bc ppl point it out. my hairs hella thin rn and i’m only 17 so yeah it kinda sucks. also wondering if it’s balding too because my dad is bald sooo yea. if i put my hair in a side part none of my scalp shows and it has a lot of volume but when i put a middle part or anything else my scalp shows like sh*t..

I'm guessing it's seb derm. I would try ketoconazole shampoo 2%. You have to take care of that scalp inflammation that is causing shedding first before you can really assess male pattern baldness.
