dude, we have told you several times - if it's not working, drop it. you won't have any "crazy shed". minoxidil only works in certain people. you are on propecia. that's much more important.

Moreover , i really need my shed hair back , before those vellu hair gave me the appareance of a way better hairline .
I don't understand , this fcking product shouldnt worsen a hairloss , that is crazy .

Either you stay with it, or you don't. If it brings you any comfort, it is very possible that your hair follicles are just cycling. Sometimes, if the hair is miniaturized and the treatment is working, it needs to go through a couple cycles to make it terminal, thick hair. I would give it another 5 months and reevaluate. I have never heard of someone losing too much hair on minoxidil, and if they do it's usually temporary.

are you on liquid or foam? Make sure, if it has propylene glycol, that you don't have an allergy to it. I am mildly allergic to PG, and when I switched from foam to cream (with PG), I had irritation and lost a lot of hair. Allergic reaction = inflammation = hair loss.

but i never shed hair with minoxidil, just the initial shed which didnt regrow .
Ive got inflammation and scalp redness with liquid 5 , but didnt lose hair . ive read a study which show that liquid is better than foam . I also got a damn hypertrichosis so that means the stuff is working .

And the worst thing bro , is that i know that if i use duta i could stop my hairline recession and be happy, but i am already on 5 mg finasteride , and i fell that ive got puffy nipples . So duta will cause me a gyno . f*** this life .

And i can't massage it anymore because of my hand hypertrichosis . I just let it soak , and i feel this is not as efficient as the massaging way , despite what my Doctor told me .

But sometimes it does. It's happened to a lot of people. It's not guaranteed to work.
For most people maybe it does work, but not for all.
That's why I'm very hesitant to go near the stuff.

If you had a shed due to minoxidil then that means you had a response, you are probably a responder of some sort. If minoxidil didn't work for you then you probably wouldn't have had a response. minoxidil and finasteride took me from NW3 to about NW2.5. Nothing amazing but it did something.

I really need to know if the massaging thing is essential for the liquid minoxidil to work , or if you just need to let it soak on the scalp . Thx all guys .

I never massage my minoxidil in and I'm probably the best responder to minoxidil on this entire forum lol. I spread it around with my fingers but I don't sit there rubbing it in. If you're getting hypertrichosis on your hand you're not washing your hands well enough after applying, or you're messing with your hair while it still has minoxidil in it. Fix that and your hand hypertrichosis will most likely go away if you really feel the need to massage the minoxidil in, although I really highly doubt it's actually helping to do so. Minoxidil penetrates the skin fine so as long as you're getting it on the skin no massaging should be necessary.

Personally I don't think you should drop minoxidil until at least 1-1.5 years since you started it. If it caused a shed and you're getting hypertrichosis on your hands you clearly are responding to it, so you should give it more time to work before dropping it. I have gone through many minoxidil sheds myself and they almost always lead to more results in my experience. I think most people here who say minoxidil made their hair loss worse saw shedding, dropped minoxidil, and then because they dropped the minoxidil they drop below baseline due to the hair they shed not regrowing like it most likely would have if they had just remained calm through the shed and kept using minoxidil.

Treatments don't work for everyone. Was on minoxidil for 2 years and it literally did nothing for me, except waste away my money. Also been taking finasteride for 2 years, and my hair loss is infinitely worse than when I started.

damn man, sorry to hear. Are you considering dutasteride? finasteride f*cked my hair as well. It sucks that these are our options - a) get f*cked b) get even more f*cked c) shave bald. :(

You're good responder since you lowered your male hormones to the ground 0. guess why there is no minoxidil higher 2% or 3% for females.. Just no needed at all. Its like opening the gates for further insta succes.

Michel, can you please post some before and after pictures? A lot of times people think that their hair has gotten worse, when in reality it has stayed the same if not gotten better.
