I think minoxidil body/facial hair will take longer to fall than hair on your head after stopping/reducing the dose.

I say this as my friend used it for his beard (yes crazy I know) and he said he noticed benifits for about a year after stopping, and it definitely seemed to me that he did.

Either way I've always thought that some unwanted body/facial/hand hair is worth it for hair on your head. Just shave/pluck it.

Give it time. Also, like I mentioned in your other thread, you could try laser hair removal.

You don't need to be rich. Christ, you're shelling out $ for minoxidil and finasteride.
You could just try 2 rounds and see if it helps. If you're not getting a large area done, it shouldn't cost that much.

The hope is that not much is absorbed into your blood and you will only see growth wherever you apply it. But if enough of it absorbs into your blood then body and facial hair can grow.

Does this stuff really make your body hair grow even if you put it on your scalp? I thought it only worked where it was locally placed? What this sounds like to me is that I could rub this stuff on my feet and ill have hair growth everywhere lol. Who needs oily hair right.

I have also heard that it could rub off on your pillow if it hasn't dried fully and transfer onto your face.

It's either this or he isn't washing his hands well enough after applying/messing with his hair while it is still wet from the minoxidil. I highly doubt he's absorbing so much on a systemic level that he's getting hypertrichosis. It's possible, but not likely. He'd likely be getting crazy good results on his head if that were the case lol

To avoid this happening you should try to minimize the amount of minoxidil you get on your hands/anywhere you don't want hair while you're applying it. If you drip some down your forehead, immediately wash it off with soap and water. When you're done applying, wash your hands immediately with soap and water. Once you've applied the minoxidil, don't touch your hair/scalp at all until you wash it out. Don't got to bed with minoxidil in your hair, and if you absolutely must do so then wear a showercap/bandana/etc. to stop it from getting on your pillow or rubbing all over your face. Wash/change your pillow cases daily ideally in case any minoxidil got on them (this will also help tremendously with acne if you're prone to that).

It might sound extreme but minoxidil is not good stuff to have all over your hands/pillow cases/face, so if you are committed to getting the best results with the least amount of negative effects possible you gotta be willing to put in the work. It's also insanely toxic to cats, so if you have a cat you should be doing all of this already to make sure you don't accidentally kill them.
