Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone has had some work done to the temples area - could you restore your natural look -
if you are only missing a little in the temple area - is it possible to fill it,...
for an example a piece maybe 1.5" x 1.5" or ????

I am not too sure about the temple area - is there still hope for the temple area,

thanks,

Depends how old you are? you don't want that "Island" effect once the rest of your hair starts thinning/receding.... :hairy:

hey,...

26 going on 27 - but at least for the time being you will look nice,...
I am more or less trying to find out if it's possible - when ever I see pics I never see huge improvements to the temple area,... is it pricey to get such a small area done? -
And for the island effect - that would only mean that you would have to get more hair transplant's to cover that up - I am not too familar with the island effect,...

Thanks,

Island meaning that the hair transplant hair will not fall out because its follicles are not affected by DHT, yet the hair behind the transplant will eventually fall out leaving you with an island........or in your case two islands  of hair left. But if you are willing to go back and get more hair transplants done to keep filling in the receding area it is definately possible. This site has a nice section on hair transplants and some great doctors and examples of there work. The most important part of getting a hair transplant is selecting the right doctor because it is like art work especially the hair line so definately RESEARCH and don't jump at the lowest price. 8O

hey,...

Thanks guys for all your input - I will definitely not go for the cheapest price - If I do decide to get the hair transplant done - I would pay the highest price if necessary - I just want the ultimate best job done.

thanks again,

You will most likely need a dht blocker like propecia to use even if u get transplants. You gotta be carefull what doctor you choose cause some can really f*** u up and you will end up paying a ton of money on your hair. Some can do a good job though.

Dont go to BOSLEY for your hairtransplants i heard endless stories of him fuckin people up.

If i where you, I would try one year of drug therapy. If you lost only the amount you mentioned you can fill in your temples with drug therapy for much cheaper and it will look better than a transplant. If drug therapy fails, then u can consider a transplant.

Plus if you get a hair transplant you will most likely need to take drugs anyways to not lose hair behind the transplants.

I had the temples done at age 28 and it wasn't until 14 years later that I started losing it elsewhere. I got lucky.

Yeah i hear ya. the initial investment could be $2000 but in the end with all the additional work it could end up being $10,000. Once they start work you and your wallet are in for the long run. Although nowadays propecia and rogaine have helped keep the island from forming.

well this is my input form only using the laser comb: i have been using for abvout 2 months and it used to look like there was no hair right there but now there are thin hairs that filled in there no but they are not as thick as the other hair behind that. i dont know if my hair will grow back thin then take time to cycle and come back thicker each time or what but there is deffinitly hair there now i can tell because when my hair grows longer right there then you can tell where it regrew because it stays thinner as the rest is thicker behind>>>>>>>
