Hi everyone,
Havent visited this forum for a while, anyways i will give you guys a quick overview of my past regimen.
I started Proscar 1/4, Rogain now Regain 5% about 5 years ago, started noticing results after about 2.5-3 years and later added saw palmetto, using these meds slowed down my hair loss however, it wasnt completely dead stopped in its track i know that this is impossible.
Anyways 6 months earlier i didnt realise when i gave my proscar prescription to a relative to get it for me as i was busy, she accidently got finasta a generic brand much cheaper around $66 compared to $99 proscar. i have been using proscar since i started however with finasta it was a disaster :sobbing: . I have been having a really really bad shed and my hair thinned out considerably alot, unblievable. I didnt realise that finasta was a cheap generic shiite brand and it wasnt the real proscar brand :dunno: .
So now i have got scripts from my GP for Avodart (Dutasteride) 0.5mg its my day 3. I have read alot about sides and sheds, some has scared me. I will see how i go, i will post pics shortly. I have noticed not many discussion around dutasteride is taking place, DONT KNOW WHY since all the trials indicate its more effective than Finasteride. Anyways i will keep you guys updated.
