RECOVERIES FROM PERSISTING AFTER-QUITTING SIDES? (months)

Hello everybody, this is my introduction:

-MALE
-23 YO
-NONE HEALTH PROBLEMS BEFORE.
-STARTED FINASTERIDE ON JUNE-2012, QUITTED ON JUNE-2014 (2 YEARS ON IT).
-DOSIS: 0,7 MG/DAY (FOR THE FIRST 20 MONTHS) & 1 MG/DAY (LAST MONTHS).


First months I just noticed watery semen and bad mood. Next I had lots of minor symptoms I didn´t link to the drug such as difficulty to concentrate, less interest on sex... Last month of the tratment, I had some episodes of "soft erection" and I decided to quit. Erectile dysfunction not only persisted after quitting but also got worse. I had a kind of "crash" (as it is common to some people) the second month after quitting with zero libido, zero erectile function and so.

After that crash I was healing little by little and 6-7 months since I quit now I feel much better most of days both sexually, physically and mentally. However not 100% recovered yet to pre-finasteride state. I would say 80% cured.

Any similar cases? How long did you take to recover fully? I am convinced of my recovery because there is a positive development. Between black and white, there are middle points. In contrast to the extremes never-sides and never-cured-yet ones, there are people who recovered in days, weeks or months after quitting.

I know youve been through a lot, but why the hell didn't you stop when you started experiencing sides. I honestly find it hard to believe that people can be so idiotic to ignore the side effects or at least get some knowledge by going on the internet...
I tried the stuff and after two weeks I experienced watery semen, less morning wood, weaker libido and I believe was the formation of gyno. Enough to get me to stop. Dude you really want help with persistent sides, give google a spin.
Sorry to be so harsh, I'm kinda amazed you recovered after being on it for so long. What is your hair situation?

Where did you copy and paste "your story" from? I was thinking of starting an anti finasteride campaign and I am looking for material. I just want to get the original writers ok before I start posting this as "my story". I think I will say that I only took it for 9 months though instead of 2 years. That is kind of long to be ignoring sides then wondering why I got effed up. I might also add that my girlfriend loves my new bald look and thinks my newly found confidence is what makes me more attractive then ever before.

I am sorry this is not my language and I don´t know if you are laughing at me, just being skeptical/cautious or using humour to try me to handle it well. I waited for other welcome I just did this thread in order to share information and help to possible similar cases and to be adviced/ helped or hear good news from recoverers. Not to discuss about my foolishness. I know I should have quitted before but past can not be changed and this is my hard reality.

I did not copy this from anywhere (I wish I did).

I want to clarify that I did not suffer sides everyday for 2 years since the very first day. That was an abstract and maybe I did not explain myself properly.
For 20 months (0,7 mg/day) I felt mostly normal. I only had watery semen sometimes, on the other hand, it worked well to hair and first months I felt great. Last months when I raised dosis to 1mg I felt bad mood and lack of energy and concentration often, but I did not linked them to the drug (I didn´t know about such sides honestly) just waited them for go. However life was manageable. I was unworried.

I also did breaks/rests during the 2 years.

Just before quitting is when I experienced my first noteworthy sexual side effects (only soft erections). I obviously decided to quit.

After quitting is when I experienced worst symptoms (symptoms I did not ever have while on the treatment, ok?)

7 months later as I have said I am like 70-80% recovered, but not fully. I have read one person who took 8 months, people who recovered very fast and so on.

Any kind answer is welcome. Thank you very much and sorry for the communication breakdown.
