Recovery from the (nonsexual) sides after quitting?

Has anyone fully recovered from finasteride after quitting because of severe side effects? I don't have the sexual ones in mind (these tend to go away fast), but the persistent mental and physical sides, which handicap your thinking and socialising skills and the way you look (facial aging).
I am 18 years old and used Propecia for 9 days and took 9 pills. I started to feel myself like a zombie: I couldn't think logically, concentrate, socialise as bravely as I was used to and felt really distanced from the world. In addition, I started to get comments from people that my eye surroundings were black, tired looking and my face was puffy. It's my 3rd day off the drug now and these sides are far from wearing down -- more like the opposite. My dermatologist sent me to a blood test, I hope I get some clue there.
Has anyone had experience with this type of side effects? What did you do to ged rid of them? Finasteride quitters, help me!

Bryan has some interesting graphs in his goecities account.

One of the graphs shows that finasteride reduced DHT levels for upto a week. I have taken finasteride in the past and I know for a fact that it takes about a week for the system to clear.

so be patient, you should be OK soon...

Also, you might want to give finasteride a month or two and see if you get used to it.

I've read of patients that will have the sides stuck with them forever, so I don't want to risk. The 9 pills I took might even have caused permanent changes in my body -- who knows? Right now I'm certainly having concentration and thinking problems with muscle twitches (my eyelid started vibrating when I got on finasteride). I so hope it will all go away, but I doubt, because my body was probably too young for taking finasteride and people have got these horrible sides with taking less pills.
