Red spots all over my body after using Propecia!

I took generic Propecia (Finpecia) for a period of about 4 to 6 weeks, and I started getting big rounded red marks all over my body (mostly on and around my chest and upper legs). I immediately stopped using Finpecia, and it took maybe a month for the red marks to fully heal and disappear.

Anyone else ever hear about this side effect? I think I was taking 1 mg per day... So I wasn't going overboard.

Would like to get some suggestions on alternatives. Maybe I should take half the dosage every other day? Or would the side effects just eventually come back?

Merck lists RASH and "pruritus" as a possible side effect from the drug; do a Google image search to see if that lines up with your symptoms.

If so, seems you're unlucky in that you're having an allergic reaction to the medication or it's effects on your body's hormones.
