If they are bald with that little island of hair at the front of their head. Completely bald is fine, receding hairline is fine but once that patch of hair is on its own it needs to go. I just think it makes any mans instantly worse looking and I can't stop staring at it.

Being considerably overweight would still be more of a turn off than baldness, and before the "well she knows he can lose weight!" argument, I mean there and then, if a woman had to pick out a guy to go on a date or f*** or whatever, overweight guys would be last. Not only is it awful looking and would be awful to be with physically, but so many other connotations that are reasonably true to generalise- lazy, un-motivated, un-hygienic, no life, small penis or ED, health problems, it just goes on and on.

Baldness negative connotations? Well there's baldness. I've heard some women think baldness is a sign of virility, and this isn't coping bullshit I have actually heard this rumour/possibly myth (someone reading this will know what I'm talking about and maybe if there's any proof of it, with regards to high testosterone) but it could just be women being falsely positive. I wouldn't be surprised if inside the female brain, baldness more likely sets off feelings of a male being genetically inferior and therefore less virile.

No wait actually I don't think overall their brain would even go there, it's just unthinkable.

I think a full head is best (with recession or back loss as they approach middle age as a maximum). Or a clean shave. I agree, the intermediate stages of hair loss look unflattering.

Yep. Who would have thought that hair loss would be the biggest turn off for women? Surely not us?!

Even completely bald depends on your skull shape, skin tone, facial features and what else you can make up for it with (height, frame, muscle mass etc).

However, some men really look sick without hair and they would look better with at least some hair on their heads. Sure you may look like crap with that hair, but you NEVER want to look sick.

As if a lot of people who think that balding is caused by some sort of hygiene issue isn't bad enough already, there are actually some out there who actually believe that we CHOOSE to bald in a particular pattern. It's just like how there's a lot of people out there who still think wearing hats causes balding, might as well start saying to women that wearing bras may cause breast cancer. Why can't men shave down the little 'island' and then taper the rest? Not being snide i m really curious if something i am not realizing..
Phil Collins comes to mind..he keeps it short and he keeps the 'island' i guess you call it, never heard that before--buzzed down...I see now Jude Law has done this...On Phill Collins it looks so much better since he shaved it down than it did back in 80s..I know Jude Law is 'handsome' so bad example but Phill Collins is not in my opinion particularly handsome or particularly has an ideal shape head..but personally i think he looks better since shaving it down.

I sincerely hope foolish people don't think we chose balding/shaved look just to look more manly,dominant and alpha/or like a dirty comedian who himself jokes of his shaved head in comedy shows/stage shows

Why care about what foolish people think? I only care about what intelligent and open minded people think. They may just be uneducated about hairloss. The moment I realise when one is just dumb or mean rather than uninformed, I stop caring.
It's like this dude I met who thinks every single European needed to pack and get the f*** out of Britain as soon as the brexit vote was out. I said it's not the case and told him how the article 50 is not even triggered yet etc. He still ran around the hostel we stayed in and told everyone every European in the UK was fucked and would lose their homes. Don't waste time on idiots.
