Regime

Daily
5mg Finasteride cut into 3rds
Regaine Foam every night and most mornings (should be EVERY morning I know)
MSN Tablet
Silica complex tablet
Vitamin tablets containing, Vitamin C, Zinc and Iron
Alpecin Shampoo with caffine

Every other day
American Crew Revitaliza Serum with copper peptides
Naturvital Shampoo (Vitamins A, B3, B7, E, F, H and pro vitamin B5)

2-3 times a week
Nizoral

I am 25 and started receding at 21, just slighty at temples.

Became noticable at 23, but only started to do sumit about it last year.

I shaved my hair to a grade 1 last year, thats when also noticed very slight thinning on crown (very slight)

Started off with Propecia just over a year ago (Feb 08) and also with Regaine Liquid at the same time, switched to the Foam in about May 08. Then added Nizoral about September along with MSN tablets.

The shampoos, copper peptides and Silica tablets have only been added about 2 months ago.

When I first started on meds last year was prob heading to NW3, ship seems to have been steadied (I think the caffine shampoo is helping to turn vellus hairs on temple into terminal hair).

Anyway, I have noticed that on the right temple I am practically an NW2 now, yet on left side the temple hair is still vellus. What I wanted to know is has anyone else experienced this?

I am hoping that it is just taking a little while longer, the left temple is what my right temple was about 3 months ago, and so am hoping just to be patient and see if in 3 months it catches up. Crown seems to have stayed pretty much the same, which is fine as my hair is grade one all over.

I am going to post some pictures very soon, but would like some feedback on my regime and if anybody else has experienced the same thing with regards to temple regrowth happening quicker on just the one temple?

Thanks in advance.

The only thing that you will notice a difference from in that regimen is the Finasteride and minoxidil products.

MSM, Silica, Vitamins, minerals etc. won't change anything. Just because you are losing your hair doesn't mean that you need any extra nutrition. Though it might help in the strenghtening of hairs being recovered through Finasteride and Minoxidil. I take vitamins and minerals for overall health, doubt they will make much of a difference with that either. Seems only Drugs will actually change anything.

You should really add Ketoconzole into your regimen (Nizoral, Revita) or a P-O Shampoo.

screwmpb!, I switched to the foam as I heard that it was better, and having used it I feel it is better.

decro435, I do use Nizroal about 2-3 times a week, am hoping that using the big 3 may be good enough, but ultimately I am preparing myself for a small hair transplant in the future.

Have also started using S5 cream too on the temples/hairline and crown just at night, do you think that will help any?
