I've been on Proscar and minoxidil for 3.5 months with mixed results. In general I think my hair loss as slowed very slightly however have lost about 30% of hair on top. Before starting my treatment I had no noticeable loss on the hairline however now my hair has thinned to the point I can see down to my scalp and from my hairline to the middle of my scalp under light. I've had reasonable amount of re-growth on the left side of my hairline however the right is getting thinner and thinner. I’m confused - am i still shedding? is proscar doing more damage than good? Could it be that the growth cycle of my hair is different per side and should expect the same results on my still thinning right side as my left?
Its hard to put this into words and will try and get some pictures to illustrate my point. Has anyone else experienced an abnormal shed re-growth pattern such as mine?
