I lost all, and I mean all! of my hair suddenly two years ago. I accepted head hair and all body hair but oddly the worst was my eyebrows and lashes. Constant dust and sweat problems!
I spoke to my Doctor and was a bit reassured that a proportion of us do regrow naturally. Not one to jump at the medicine cabinet, I accepted that and got on with life.
Gail Porter was a bit of an inspiration and I was delighted that when all my hair began to regrow, she reported the same (though I hadn't fallen in love again being married and now with with grandkids) I am really sorry to see that she has gone through it again, but so far all my hair is still growing, albeit grey and lacking previous curliness.
I guess what I am trying to say is, don't rush to the chemicals. Sometimes it is just a "natural" procedure. Don't worry too much and perhaps yours will grow back too.
