I would like to hear peoples stories of their experiences using dutasteride alone, for a hair loss solution.

I have been using it .5mg daily for 4 months now and dont believe its doing anything. Only side affect i believe i have experienced is watery sperm.

Thanks.

Still losing same amount of hair and hairline is still receeding so idk what to think. I would of thought i would see something by now, like a stop of hair fall.

How was it for you?

Yeah id say im the same, just receeded a bit at the temples but still have mostly all my hair and in mid 20s.

After how long did you notice regrowth or a stop in hair fall? Do you just take .5mg daily as well?

Thinking to add finasteride as well but have read its not as affect as duta so not sure if theres much point

I would add minoxidil, stemoxidyne and MSM supplement 4g a day. I used dutasteride at 0.5mg a day. I noticed the loss halting a few days later

Ah really, a few days thats good. I thought it took a few months at least.

I thought about topical minoxidil but dont really want to start that. I heard that it is only affective topically?

MSM and stemoxidyne i not heard of but ill google them

Oral minoxidil is another option for people not keen on topicals
I take 5mg a day and the results are very good
No side effects to report so far

Did you have a shed?

Also what does everyone think of switching to dutasteride if finasteride doesn’t seem to be working? I’ve lost a lot of hair for the past 7 months being on finasteride

Ive always heard that oral minoxidil doesnt work for hair growth and it need to be applied to the scalp in order to open the blood vessells. The regrowth your getting could be from the dutasteride?

Im not sure. People say that you should give it a year to see full results. The only concern i have with this is that a year is a long time to keep losing hair if the medication isnt working.

I started on dutasteride because i read it blocks a higher percentage of DHT.

Ive heard a lot of people add 1 tablet of dutasteride a week and continue taking finasteride daily and have seen good results.

Well yeah I’ve lost hair for 7 months on finasteride and as a diffuse thinner, that’s a lot. I’m not sure if I can’t wait another four months.

I’m just curious of stories of people in my position and switching to dutasteride and either fully maintaining or even regrowing.
