Found it really quite interesting both that the hair follicle kind of has immunity to the immune system. - what does this mean for people with more extensive types of alopecia?
And the moral questions that it brings with regards to how would you go about benefiting from this research - could this be a future organ included in organ donation? (Ie could you sell your scalp to private companies after death for your family to benefit?) Could people with full heads of hair donate their follicles for money whilst alive?
