Revivogen plus Minoxidil? Any joint users?

I have been on minoxidil just over 6 months now with great results (well, in my view at least), but I would like to try a DHT inhibitor. Still gunshy with Propecia.

I have read the info on the site about Revivogen, and the forum dedicated to it (off an on). I notice it hasn't had a lot of postings lately. I also see that it was a highly rated "unproven" treatment.

I am wondering what might be the best way to use both minoxidil and Revivogen in a single day. minoxidil in the morning (because it is clear and dries quickly, which won't be that noticeable), and then Revivogen around 6 pm? Going with one serving each, for both?

Or should I still try to get in BOTH minoxidil applications and then add one application of Revivogen each nite. Etc. I am trying to keep this as simple as possible. Four applications (two each) per day is probably just too much. If I can get away with one each, or maybe three times, that would be great. I don't want to go around with a head full of shiny or oily substance on it all day, or hair that my wife can't run her hands thru at SOME POINT at least, during the evening.

Also, Revivogen smells bad....I ordered a bottle about three years ago (and gave up for some reason)...so I really don't remember much about it, except that it was copper colored (and obvious on my short hair) and smelled bad.

Any ideas from joint users?

So you've used this product before? I was thinking about it myself. I was going to use it in the afternoon since I use minoxidil and spironolactone in the morning and at night. I buzz my hair pretty short. Do you think it would stain my scalp? And how bad is the smell?

I think spironolactone + Revivogen are a spectacular "natural alternative" to Propecia if you had unbearable side FX with Propecia. Revivogen states you can use it once a day but "it may need to be used twice a day". To be safe, I use it twice a day.

Stain? Yep. Somtimes its a mess. There was a learning curve for me where I would get out of the shower, apply the revivogen and spironolactone about 5 mins apart, and then put on my white t shirt. At the end of the week I would have orange on the collar of all my t shirts as it brushed past my forehead when putting it on.

Same with pillow stain after evening application.

Solution? Apply it after you put on your shirt. Apply it at least 20 mins before bed. It will dry, and it will not rub off onto white things once it dries. It has a slight tan/orange tint to it, which is unnoticeable once on the skin, so you wont have any noticeable stains on your head.

Smell? My ex hated it but it didn't bother me at all. The knowledge that im doing something for my hair made the smell a "smell of fighting hair loss" so i was fine with it. lol.
