http://www.hairsite.com/hair-loss-articles/abst-128.htm

apparently this article is from leading hair specialists and nothing to do with revivogen. They have nothing bad to say about it!

I also came across a Bryan post from 2002 from hairsite, so I am hoping that he knows alot more since then.

I would value his opinion.

I included Revivogen in my treatment (1mg Finasteride, Minoxidil 5% 1ml/day, Revivogen 1ml/day)...and we'll see how it goes.

Unfortunately, I don't know ANY more since then! :x

I continue to be fascinated by the serious science behind the potential use of topical fatty acids as 5a-reductase inhibitors (and they even seem to show a mild ability to help block androgen receptors), but STILL to this very day there has been no independent in vivo testing by serious scientists to verify that the approach really does benefit male pattern baldness. I fear that it may never be tested that way, and we'll be forever left in this limbo of wondering about the extent to which Revivogen really does work.

Bryan, thank you for your honesty and the reply.

Do you think the Revivogen study which everyone is raving about is legit? Is this study carried out by the makers or revivogen, im guessing? Do these studies need verifying?

Oh, there's no doubt in my mind that the study is legit. It was carried out by an independent company that the makers of Revivogen commissioned to do the testing. It's perfectly ok as far as it goes, it's just that it doesn't go very far. It clearly demonstrates that Revivogen is capable of inhibiting the production of DHT in vitro, now they need to test Revivogen for its ability to fight male pattern baldness on living human heads.

revivogen has been out for ages.

there are plenty of people on these boards who have tried it.

ultimately, no one has had good enough results.

Hm, i see a lot of people who use Revivogen ALONG other treatments in their regimen (f.e. Tricomin). Hard to find people who have at least maintaining success with Revivogen alone.

How about you, Davidoff? I guess you had not a pretty agressive male pattern baldness, if you use Revivogen alone?

I do have aggressive male pattern baldness,I had a hair transplant and am keeping the rest of my hair with revivogen.I have been using revivogen for 2 years now and havent seen any more hairloss. It has halted my hairloss with no regrowth,So around 6 months ago i added minoxidil and got regrowth. Now my hair looks great with just minoxidil and revivogen, without having to sacrifice my dick.

Nice to hear that as well :)

Some final questions ;)

1. Where is your hairloss / where did you apply Revivo?
2. How agressive was your hairloss in the affected areas?
3. Any side effects? I noticed increased tiredness and dark cycles under my eyes. I guess you have not had that.

Thanks for your time, davidoff!

So this suggests that Revivogen has growth stimulating properties in addition to DHT blocking ability? I thought it was only really a DHT blocker. Perhaps it was minoxidil causing the shed..? But I see you started minoxidil sometime later so that can't be it.

Hey, ah Davidoff - just wondering what technique you use to apply Revivogen? I've just been using the dropper to place about 1.25 ml directly to my scalp in the thinning areas using lots of little dabs with the dropper. This way it sits on the scalp with good coverage and not the hair. If I try to rub it in then a lot is distributed to the hair shaft. Do you massage it in also? I'm just wondering if massage is important or will it be effective simply being placed on the scalp like minoxidil is?
