Only positive thing to come outta hairloss.

Have nuthin to lose. I quit the 9 to 5 game early on. I was in an office of women, and I realized being bald could only be done off the grid

I tried one if the early transplants but it was a failure

It kept me sane trying, anyway

I learned to live on the fly and dumped my health insurance

Was married a couple times until they got tired of me

I was even a street guy eating at shelters one winter

........but the biggest benefit was I never had to be bored

I was broke, but I wasn't monkeyed up in a cubicle

It's liberating to say f*** it and do what YOU want to do. I'm putting in my 2 weeks notice tomorrow, going to go to school for what I want to do in the fall and not looking back. People think I'm crazy to give up a sure steady pay check but where I'm at isn't my passion.

Do what makes you happy, it's all about the journey.

Well, all bets are off bald

You would be nuts to interrupt a lucrative career path IF you had a hot wife and a mortgage

But if ur alone, it's up to you

Trust me, its one of the great joys in life to have a boss treat you like shut, and just walk right out the door

The day you do that is always a day you feel free

If this really happened, I'm very interested. Details please.

Women in an office redpill you fast

Any hint of weakness is exploited

I was a combover then, but one fat wife co employee had a husband going bald and I got insight in to how it would go for me

Gossip and trembling by this chick, and her anxiety over it scared me pretty bad

Just, imagine,, having 5 frumpy women, or one wife looking at your hairline every morning and counting down the days to complete invisibility??? No thanks.

At this point most betas choose security. I chose insecurity.

I realized then that I didn't belong corporate because its filled with scared drones who smell failure and perpetuate smallness

Balding has to be done on your own terms

I quit

The day I walked out was its own freedom

Scary yes, but yet here I was on my own

Not beholden to cheap suits and low wages

I sorta went off grid

Before then I was Skippy college boy in four years

On the way to mid management or an MBA

I took a job third shift security and horrified my friends

But it was easy

It showed me a bald life meant accepting, and accepting meant giving up.......but iuf you are smart giving up can create other advantages

The hardest part, incidentally, is holidays spent alone

......oh and homeless.......

When you leave corporate job security your apathy will eventually lead to falling off the grid

But.. ...if you exploit it, you can be comfortable enough

I have also lived in cars

all of it

elaborate

How are you doing now? Do you have a job? How long were you homeless for?

I've also seriously contemplating going homeless for a month sometime in the future.

How old are you??

The only reason to go off grid is if you simply lose motivation to earn enough to stay normal

In other words an apartment and car

But if you do become homeless, do it intelligently

Live in a van where its not too hot or cold

Save your money for a wig or hair transplant

Better to attempt a normal life if you can

Huh??

Issues? My issue was I turned into a freak at 19, battled boldly and valiantly to correct it for a decade, and eventually succumbed to fate.

Plenty of baldies do have normal corporate lives, but it is well established that looking awful bothers people differently. It is not a function of mental illness, per se

And plenty that give up too and find an alt existence

As I said, it depends on how much you can take, and if you find lasting love and support

Not to mention a lot if the bald mid agers simply did it out of desperation

In the final analysis, I didn't think it was a good trade to slave 50 hours a week without a decent payoff

I would say my industry is an exception to this, but in most corporate settings there are plenty of bald guys in mid management with stable family lives if that's what you desired (going by your dinner party thread). I would almost say it's kind of a trope. Baldness mainly kills your opportunities to have a high-powered lifestyle with tons of friends, many high-quality partners and access to C-suite positions or just below.

It just seems weird that baldness would be the trigger for all these radical life changes of yours. Seems like you may always have had issues and your good looks masked them when you still had hair.

We live in a world of conventions, protocols and orthodoxies. Then you go bald, get a face full of acne, and/or have an ugly face and you have the "red pill" reality forced upon you. The earlier you are given this reality, the more successful you can be at life. And by success, I mean being happy. Many people are so deeply conventional that they don't know if they're happy or sad - they're simply trying to keep up with everyone else so as "not to stand out". I was bullied as a teenager and I think that really helped me in life. Not at the time of course, but later. I've lead a very interesting, full life. Sounds like the OP has too.

I have been going to brothels regularly since i've noticed my balding.

I thought f*** it - i might as well have sex as much as i want/can before i take finasteride and/or my hair gets worse.

I feel bad for admitting it but i've been 25 times over the past 6 months.

I agree with most of this post about why bothering if you don't reap the rewards.
That was gist of what I took away from your post.

And, by the way... @zircon is in Disneyland with his post you quoted.
