Rogaine Aging Recovery Story

Hey guys,

So long story short, I used rogaine for about 4 months and it literally made me age 10 years. I was extremely depressed. I've always been a really pretty girl and I was so depressed afterwards that I decided to move to a different country for 6 months because I was so ashamed of the way I looked.

I was 22 when I started using it. I've been off it for 7 months and I am now 23 and still have not completely recovered.

However, I have experienced some SERIOUS improvements and I would like to share my story to help others.

First, I did a major detox to get the Rogaine out of my system. I took detox pills and I drank dandelion root tea as well as black tea to really get it all out.

Second, I began taking action to improve and increase my collagen production. I take reservage collagen replenish powder as well as phytoceramides from lipowheat to complement it.

I also went to my dermatologist and got prescribed to tretinol for the face wrinkles. She also told me to put a small amount of Vaseline underneath my eyes to diminish the appearance from the lines under my eyes.

I began eating gelatin, pork skins and "collagen bone broth" (Google for info) - I know it sounds nasty but these foods provide amino acids that are necessary for collagen production. Look it up. THIS HAS LITERALLY CHANGED MY LIFE. Please give it a try, I PROMISE it is worth it.

Third, i detoxed my entire house. Rogaine and minoxidil are powerful drugs that leave nasty residue almost everywhere. I literally had to throw away all my pillows, sheets, hair brushes and EVERYTHING because that nasty stuff was still on there and I could see side effects from it MONTHS after I had stopped using it so i decided to throw everything away. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

It has been a long journey and I am still recovering from it. I am 95% better and I will not stop until I am fully recovered. I've researched this information for months. I am determined to beat this.

I hope my story helps others.

Message me if you need any other info!

Hello. I used rogain foam for four days and slept on rogain pillow for a week. This was in november 2014, i still havent recovered or shown any sign of recovery in the last 3 months. I washed my rogaine cintaminated knit cap with my clothes, and i wore them for 2 months. Is it possible, this is the reason i havent gotten better? Im still sleeping in the same spot where my pillow sheet came into contact with my mattress, the pillow sheet had rogaine on it. Im really stressed anD depressed. Any advice would help. Are these tne reasons why i havent recovered?

Yes, that's partially why you haven't recovered. Also because collagen takes a while to form.

However, I made the same mistake and it was literally devastating. I threw away EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING I owned because it was contaminated with that stuff. I could tell which of my clothes were contaminated because I would pay very close attention to the way I looked and when I wore clothes that were contaminated with Rogaine I would notice a difference on my face.

I know I'm not crazy because I have seen it happen to others too. I once took a nap in my parents bed and the next day when my mom woke up I could tell that it had gotten on her pillow and produced side effects on her as well.

My advice to you is to watch very very closely which of your clothes are contaminated and throw them away if you think it's that bad. If not, soak your clothes INDIVIDUALLY in hot water and white vinegar for a good 3 hours. Wash and let air dry. It's very important you don't wash all your clothes in vinegar at once to avoid more cross contamination.

I know it sucks but trust me, I've tried everything and that stuff does not come off. I would suggest you get new sheets and new pillows. In the meantime, take the collagen supplements I mentioned above and take HIGH amounts of vitamin C. Vitamin C is the main molecule needed for collagen synthesis.

I know how you feel and I understand how upsetting it can be but you're not alone and I hope my post help as many people as possible. No one deserves to go through what I did.

Good luck and remember, time heals everything :)

Would dried rogain on pillow case cross contaminate my mattress or carpet? My main question is, would dried rogain on a pillow case be seeped or transfered into mattress or carpet?

a lot of people have said minoxidil has aged them badly - causing wrinkles, panda eyes etc. (thinning the skin?)

this is why I only take finasteride and not minoxidil; and people who worry so much about finasteride yet splash minoxidil on liberally actually amaze me a little?

They are/We are already prematurely aged due to Male Pattern Baldness so A few wrinkles won't make much difference. I'll take the wrinkles If I could have a NW1 hairline and thick hair.
