Rogaine causing face to be puffier?

My weight was at a pretty stable number since fall 2010. I started Rogaine in like march april 2011. Ever since I gained like 10 lbs , granted at the time before I started rogaine really I was in a play at my last semester at college so it was stressful and I ate pretty well/not many snacks/treats and was dancing for 15-20+ minutes a day due to rehearsals for the show and then went home to a lazy summer and reported in fall 2011 a 10 lb weight gain.

I work out with weights so while I haven't checked my weight in a while (go by mirror) my face still looks sorta bloated, enough for people to ask what the hell happened. It just occurred to me if I'm having some water retention side effects? I also have felt occasional facial numbness that I found was weird.

I never even thought those could have been side effects.

Any way to cut that out? I can do less rogaine than I've been doing (foam) but anything natural I can take that may take down the puffiness and still stay on Rogaine? I read something about flaxseed oil pills because I really must stay on minoxidil to keep my hair. I picked some flaxseed oil pills and have been taking two a day. Anything else I should try to cut down on water retention?

Or should I try a true diuretic?

HEY can someone please help me?

I'm asking what I can do to fix it, not debate whether or not it's a real side effect. I'd really appreciate some advice and help. Please!
