Rogaine drying time and hair length.

I buzzed my hair today and I noticed that the drying time was noticeably reduced. My crude speculation would be that hair shafts previously longer and dense in some areas retained the fluid around them and rogaine could not be absorbed quickly.

Has anyone else experienced this? Could there be any drawbacks applying rogaine on a buzzed head regarding absorption?
