Rogaine, Experiencing Shedding Already (1 week)

My hair has been stable on nizoral 2% and finasteride daily for 2 years now. Shedding is very low key if it even occurs. I just added rogaine 5% foam twice daily to my routine focusing it on where I am thinning, the crown of my head. I have only been doing this for about a week or so and already there is a noticeable increase to the amount of hairs I lose in the shower every morning.

Is shedding typically indicative of the individual responding well to minoxidil?
