Rogaine Foam direct application

I got Rogaine Foam last weeks and at first put it on my hands to rub in as directed. I found that it would dissolve a little in my hands, and then as I tried to get it onto my scalp, har would absorb a lot of it.

What I started doing it parting my hair and applying it with the nozzle contacting the skin. I will give many tiny squirts directly on the scalp all around the affected areas. Then I rub it in with my fingers.

This seems to make the scalp get much more of the product. Have you guys tried this?

Yah I did, and while I think its good, I found that I am unable to tell how much foam I am using. While I dont mind using extra, I do not want to go overboard and waste the stuff.

I am now just squirting a bit more than half cap full into the cap and using my finger to apply it to my hairline.
