Ok, I've been on rogaine foam for 6-7 weeks right now. Been applying two times daily, mainly on the temples.

While I do not see lots of hairs popping out, I do see some receding. Biggest problem for me though is that my forelock keeps getting thinner at quite a sick speed..

I know sheddings are a good sign, but this is giving me hell atm. Has onyone here had the same experience?

Sooth me please, this sh*t frightens me:(

I had a major rogaine foam shed on the temples at about 4 weeks, and I was only applying once at night! The foam is strong stuff, I'll notice mini-sheds even now if I apply too large of a dose (been on about 1.5 years now)

Keep at it - shedding is good!

Treeshew,

Thanks for the reply. Are you using only minoxidil? Has your hair improved when compared with before the treatment?

I started on finasteride and added foam after a month or two. I think minoxidil really works best in combination with finasteride (especially for hair line). If you're diffusing all over, or have mostly crown loss, then minoxidil could work well on it's own.

I have not grown any new hair using minoxidil, however the hair I did have around the temples has thickened up significantly, and I have not lost any more since baseline, which is key.

For me, minoxidil has been all about maintaining and not losing any more ground. Unfortunately finasteride doesn't work that well on the hairline, so without foam I think I'd continue to lose ground there, albeit more slowly.
