Rogaine to kickstart vellus hair?

What are opinons on the idea of using Rogaine in the beginning of Avodart/Nizoral regimen to start follicle expansion then taper off? Would the benefits last on some people or would the hairs always go away eventually?

Any results achieved with minoxidil for the most part must be maintained by minoxidil. If you achieve any regrowth with the combination of minoxidil and finasteride/dutasteride there is no guarantee you will keep those results if you drop one or the other as they work by different mechanisms. My opinion is that if you don't need a lot of regrowth right now to hold off on the minoxidil. If you'd like regrowth, then the combination of minoxidil and dutasteride is probably the most powerful weapon you can use, but you are going to be using them forever. It's probably best to add one thing at a time. If, in 6-12 months, you aren't happy with the results from just dutasteride and nizoral, then you may want to consider adding a growth stimulant such as minoxidil.
