Well, I started traetments with finasteride and minoxidil and Nizoral 13 plus months ago now. I think it has been a tremendous success! I am 39 and had a diffuse NW6 pattern develop from 2007-2010. I lost a ton of thickness and overall hair quality and shaving it was the only style I could pull.

the first set of pics are all baseline, or close to it.

And at 13 months... This is the best my hair has looked since 2007. I am nearly 40 and very happy with what I have for hair now! Hope it inspires the "older" guys!!!

Re: RSR39 Success story at 13 months treatments

Great results RS, hope you can maintain for now. If you can get past 2-3 years with it like that you will be a long term success. Being able to maintain in your 40's and later can be more challenging. I thought it would be easier since your DHT levels tend to decline but your body compensates with more androgen sensitive follicles as you age so that is why you see many men still go bald at 40.

your treatments are now rogaine foam ,nizoral, finasteride, since 2010,

on HLH you stated to me that you use kirkland liquid, finasteride, nizoral cream, and vag cream,

explain this rogaine foam use, or did you try it at first then dropped it ? If so ho wlong where you on it before you switched to liquid ?

Wow, stunning results, it now looks like you've never had any hairloss problems at all!
And I must say, for almost 40 year old you look amazing (if I would need to tell your age by pictures I'd say you're 30 at most..)

Keep it up, and it's surely inspirational for other guys :)

I have NO IDEA what the hell you are talking about, Irish. I have been on finasteride, Min and nizoral since April 2010 (that's why this is a 13 month update, bro...)

I have NEVER used Kirkland Liquid minoxidil. Long ago I used the foam, but over 8 months ago, I switched and started just using Liquid Equate minoxidil from Walmart. As for the Miconazole and Nizoral creams, yes, I use them sporadically now, but mainly during months 8-11, then I reduced the usage of those.

Thanks for the positive comments.

Re: RSR39 Success story at 13 months treatments

ok, sorry kirland or walmart brand, same stuff.

but with regards to foam why switch to liquid, and you only apply liquid 1x per day. correct? And you use 2-3 ml. i think.

and congrats on the hair, im month 15, and you are better off then me :(

You were one of the big promoters of Miconazole RSR, surprised to see you not even mention it in your OP. Have your thoughts on its effectiveness changed that dramatically?

One question, how many months in did you first notice positive results?

I believe it is a product that is worth adding to finasteride and minoxidil. I saw a huge improvement about one month after starting Miconazole. That was about month 8. I still use it on my crown mainly since that is the area that is still the weakest. I also use Nizoral cream in alternating cycles. I think for the cost of Miconazole, it is worth a try. It also does seem to cause my hair to grow faster as has been reported by many people.

I first noticed positive results at about month 3. Just a cessation of shedding at first. By month 6, things were definitely better cosmetically. By month 9, I was really seeing big changes. The biggest improvement has been from month 10-current. I am still seeing improvement and now I am at month 14.
