RU insomnia

I've been taking RU 30mg-50 mg/ day for 3 weeks and i started to develop insomnia. I will wake up tired exactly after 5 and a half hours of sleep.

I have taken finasteride before and suffered from the same problem: insomnia. I suppose that since RU does not inhibit 5aR, it does not have a negative effect on GABA related stuff. How is it possible?

However, no sexual sides from RU (much better than finasteride).

I used a very high dosage of RU and it did influence my sleep, but I was using a absurd high dosage. Sleeping like a baby on ~50mg a day. Wouldn't really know the mechanism behind it. Perhaps you can look for some studies relating to the subject.

I don't think it's gaba, because it's directly related to 5-alpha reduction, not the androgen receptors.

It might be a common problems with androgen receptor blockers, some people report this problem with spironolactone too.
