Hello,

I've always found internet messages boards to be full of useful information from real users so here I am.

I am an Asian male, age 25, 6' 180lbs, and I work for a large fashion retailer.

My hair was starting to thin significantly this year. My hair was never really thick to begin with, but now Im starting to see some hairloss and like many of you, its starting to take a hit on my self esteem. I am at the gym 4-5 times a week and have a great diet.

I have said to myself if I ever get completely bald I would just shave it and be one of those ripped bald dudes.

Maybe its the stress, maybe its my genetics (Dad is bald), but if I don't do something soon to help, I'll end up like him really soon.

I would love some fullness and thickness back in my crown, but halting it where it is now would suffice. My hairline isn't receeding so its just overall thinning but mainly focused on my crown.

I started using Rogaine Foam last month hoping to see some results, and recently taking Saw Palmetto (2x 160mg) If it doesn't block the DHT, at least it will help my prostate, I'll be spending lots of time on this forum and looking forward to learning a lot, and getting motivation from your success stories.

I really rather not use Propecia, because of all the side effects, but we'll see after a year. I hear its pretty effective, but it jacks you up...Pretty damn ironic, you want to save your hair to be more attractive, but it messes up your wang...so you get the girl, but you can't please the girl...WTH!

I do have a few questions though...

Does lifting increase testosterone which inturn turns into DHT, then makes my hair fall out? Should I focus more on cardio instead?

Does that Laser Comb work?

Thank you

I found Saw palmetto did nothing and regretted not getting on finasteride 6 mths ago.

I've been on finasteride now for just under 2 mths and no libido problems but some tiredness and brainfog. So as most will recommend if you really want to do something then finasteride is the way.

If your worried about the sides then just take less as its still pretty efffective. I may cut down to 0.5mg to limit this tiredness. makes it cheape too especially with generic finasteride.

Sup, I'm a fellow newb, also into cars.

I'd really check into shampoos:

Nizoral or equivalent
L'oreal Vive Thickening Shampoo
Jason Thin to Thick Shampoo

I'd get nizoral + one regular shampoo. If I had to pick I'd pick the L'oreal today, my hair looks the best with that. You can get it at CVS etc.

i'm one month on finasteride, have sex 4-5 times a week, can still masturbate daily as well, still wake up with morning erections 4 days a week. my libido hasn't changed a bit. altho, i do notice the brain fog and lathargicness but both can be cured with excercise, proper sleep schedual and a good diet (which you said you already have).

so consider finasteride, the side effects may seem bad because there are alot of people talking about them online, that is only because the people who don't have side effects, or have great results, don't come here to talk about it.

good luck with your hair loss regime, keep up with the foam!

I said this to myself too, and its a lot tougher to accept baldnes then I pretended it was

Most likely genetics

The crown is the easiest part of the head to restore

Rogaine can take up to 9 months to see results. Your hairs are constantly growing in and falling out. The new growth that results from your rogaine may (not always though) not be clear for many months.

People way over exaggerate things. They think masturbating, eating too much fish, protien powder, thinking dirty thoughts, and not calling your grandma on her birthday cause hairloss and or loss of libido. I am on day 5 of my proscar, and I see no sexual side effects.

I do have a few questions though...

Does lifting increase testosterone which inturn turns into DHT, then makes my hair fall out? Should I focus more on cardio instead?

Yes. The heavy lifts such as squats have been proven to release testosterone. Eventually some of that will be broken down to DHT. Guess what? The amout of DHT increase your body sees is so small from weightlifting that I would NOT stop lifting. You will NOT see increased hairgrowth from quitting lifting. All you will see is ladies pay less attention to you.

Does that Laser Comb work?

No. Finastride for maintaining, Minoxidil for regrowth. Nizoral for itching. Thats it.

Thank you
