Oh let me tell you guys, I certainly am 'dealing with side effects'

That being said, it's a positive side effect!

Ever since I started using S5 Cream back in August, I've noticed I don't get any pimples or spots on my forehead anymore. I never had bad acne even as a teen but I'd always get a couple cycling blemishes here and there every two weeks or so. My forehead was no exception and I'd have an unsightly tiny red pimple or two every now and again.

Not one has appeared in the past month though which was unusual in the best way! I attribute this to the fact that spironolactone also has value in treating seborrhoeic acne, as it decreases sebum secretion as well. This really made me pleasantly surprised, who knew S5 Cream would improve my skin!

I feel like it's a bit too early to post an update (I'll post one at the 3 month, 6 month, 9 month and 1 year mark on My Story thread) but to give a terse summary:

I've noticed a drastic decrease in shedding just a few days after I started use (30 August 2015), I'd say anywhere from 50-70% less hair on my hands in the shower and on my pillow. It also feels like my hair has thickened up a bit too, it used to feel really limp when I ran my fingers through it, that's not the case anymore, I suspect the 2% Nizoral is helping synergistically too!

Cheers for the update. I feel that 2% Nizoral definitely makes hair appear and feel thicker temporarily too.

No worries mate. Yeah I agree, it's a nice effect, no two ways about it!

I'm looking forward to your updates too. I just started oral spironolactone today (25 mgs., working up to 200), and if I get sides, it'd be good to know using it topically could have some benefit. Good luck! :)

Thanks! Best of luck with oral spironolactone, hopefully you don't experience side effects :)
