Hello,
So here's my story...I am 27 and started receding when I was 18-19. I started taking Propecia (with bits of minoxidil) in 2006 and took it a little less than a year (this was primarily because I had a large medical thing in fall 2007). I then stayed off of it for all of 2008 and 2009 mainly because of financial reasons. Of course the hairloss picked up where it had left off but it didn't seem to be as aggressive as it was a few years earlier so I was fine with it.
Flash forward to early 2010, the loss got extremely aggressive again and it was getting worse by the week. So I finally decided to get back on the regiment and stay on it indefinitely. I'm back to the standards, 1 standard Propecia and then Rogaine foam twice a day. I've also got a good organic shampoo with biotin and saw palmetto that helps.
I've got some pictures below...the first one is 2006 when the propecia had kicked in and then in early 2007 my buzzed hairline where it was right before I stopped taking it. The last one is where I'm at in mid June 2010 after a month of the stuff. Been shedding like a mad man so its definitely the worst its been.
So that's that, hopefully 6 months from now it'll be thicker in time for the holidays, I just hope it doesn't not work because of previously taking it for less than a year. We shall see...
