regardless it says that it stimulates autophagy effectively in mice - that counts for something for sure

Why? Natural compounds have extreme promise in many medical fields, they just don't get their fair shot 99% of the time because phama companies can't patent and make money off them.
he is just jaded because its a common slogan used by snake oil companies - I can't blame him at all, I felt a negative reaction as soon as I read it too

Bullshit, natural compounds are widely marketed by pharma companies, Epinephrine being a good example of a massive money maker for pharma companies especially in the US.

Yes but most of them cannot be, and the profitability is much less then in-house developed drugs.

Just be realistic...There were a ton of study about natural molecules for hair since 20 years... They all always failed...Natural coumpound are biochemistery speaking too weak. It's a fact. You can try all of them....
