Saving proscar which cut into pieces

I got empty little bottle and antiwet capsule. I cut proscars into 4 pieces. I put them and rammed a pile of cotton into bottle. Can i save proscar healthly in this way? If i can, how many days proscar can stay away from deformation? Or any idea?

I personally just store them one a pill box and tend to cut only one pill as and when needed.
