Saw Palmetto shedding

I started Saw Palmetto 500mg daily 2 moths ago, and started to shed hard after 1st month using it. Shed like 100 - 150 hairs daily . Is the shedding just temporary or should i drop it ? male pattern baldness starts to be visible in the crown area.
