Saw Palmetto side effects?

I started taking SP 8 days ago and i think i have started to have side effects of extreme muscle pain. I woke up in the morning on 6th day and could barely walk extremely painfull, it feels as though i have run a marathon, my muscles in my legs, muscles in my arms (could only just open a bottle of squash), my throat feels constricted when i swallow. I have stopped taking it for 2 days and i think it is wearing off slightly, but still painfull. Has anyone had these symptoms? are they usual and wear off after a while, or is it affecting me in a certain way.

I don't think serenoa repens has something to do with that...saw palmetto extract was has been experimented many times and no one had noticeable side effects at all...I'm on saw palmetto 95% extract now, been on it for 1 week maybe and I'm all right

Would anyone go along with the fact that if Saw Palmetto made no difference to me, then Propecia won't work either?

tbh SP is very weak in comparison on finasteride or dutasteride, You'd probobly have a much better chance with finasteride then SP, However if you experience finasteride type side effects on SP, theres also probobly a chance you'd experience sides on finasteride, however for *most* people, aparantly the sides fade with time if you persist with the drug.
