I massage my scalp for ten minutes a day.

Massaging bring to the scalp, blood for which hair follicles need and the belief is that massaging regularly will nourish the follicles for growth.

Anyone massage their scalp regularly too? Any comments on this method?

I massage my scalp daily with a device that has been banned from this forum. I have yet to see anything astonishing, but a scalp massage certainly won't hurt. There are a lot of people who will shoot down any theories about circulation and hair loss. This product has a huge stigma around it because of that- http://www.rollyourscalp.com/

And here is the thread I posted on it about a month ago- http://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=47627

bringing more blood to the scalp follicles is another 'theory' of hair cure besides the one on reducing DHT.

But he isn't showing any product or brand names. Spamming is typically done with a marketing agenda, and I don't see one in his posts.

the scalp is one of the areas most supplied by blood in the body- how much of a boost can massaging give? i doubt much.

I thought there was a study done that showed people with male pattern baldness had a difference in temperatures in their scalps as opposed to the people who did not have male pattern baldness. Also, the people with male pattern baldness had a lack of oxygenated blood in their scalps. I believe someone in here posted it, but now that the forum has been reorganized I can't find it.

Basically, everyone knows that the scalp gets plenty of blood. But what the study seemed to show is that the quality of that particular blood may not be sufficient for hair growth.
