Hey All,
New Member here.
51 years old and have had thinning hair vertex and crown for about 8 years.
Tried minoxidil topical for 2 years, about 3 years ago, no results.
On finasteride / propecia now for 1 year (no minoxidil), with slight improvement, but still obvious scalp show vertex and crown.
I've used Toppik / similar brands with very good general results, since I have diffuse type thinning.
However, as y'all will know, it is a bit of a hassle to apply, can be a little messy to wear / rub off on things / headrests / pillows.
I'm thinking about getting a scalp micropigmentation done for a "density treatment". Basically semi-permanent makeup / tattoo to the scalp to give similar effect. Tiny dots on the scalp to darken the scalp, making the scalp show less prominent - like Toppik, but no fuss or mess. Supposedly lasts 3 - 6 years, slowly fading.
Nothing comes up when I search the forum for scalp micro pigmentation, which surprised me, I thought it might have been mentioned here, somewhere, before.
Anyone have any experience / thoughts?
