Seasonal Sheds On Rogaine Normal Or Not?

For those of you who are ONLY on Rogaine, do you experience seasonal sheds? I've been using Rogaine foam for a year and it had significantly reduced my shedding. But now for the past month I've been shedding again and I'm back to my initial Telogen Effluvium level shedding. It's pretty devastating. Do you guys also experience cyclical shedding while on Rogaine or should I be worried that it's not working anymore?

i had a bad shed last month of all short hairs..I lost ground. I added topical finasteride and its improved (so far) and I gained some ground back..it is always possible the minoxidil kicked back in but it seems too coincidental to me its the addition of finasteride.

Yes, seasonal shedding would be unrelated to any shed that minoxidil is causing.

Its pretty normal and easier to see in people with hair loss seasonal shedding, seasonal shedding is a topic not often discussed and related to male pattern baldness but, its a combination that is a big problem for us when it happens, during summer you're going to lose hair to shedding which should return in the winter. I've noticed over 3 years of treatment that my hair always takes a big dip around this time of year and regains as we get to Nov/Oct.

That sucks! I never experienced seasonal shedding before my hair loss started. I'm still shedding right now. The thing with women is that we get hit harder because it takes more than a few months to get long hair again. :(

Actually, before you had hair loss if you have androgenic alopecia, you will still have seasonal shedding, everyone does. It is just that it is not noticeable before!
