seb dermatitis and hair loss -please help

Hi I have been suffering from seb dermatitis and hair loss for the past 3 months - have lost 50% of my hair i guess from the inflammation. The specialist prescribed steriod (novasone) to apply on my scalp but it hasnt helped me. The home remedies have helped me more than anything. Has anyone experienced this and did the hair grow back? please help
